Preparing for Worship – May 17

from Mark Hoffman

This week at MCF, we are very excited to highlight our Caring Friends ministry in our gathered worship. Many of our Caring Friends and ministry leaders will be in attendance and participating in worship. We will begin in song, singing praise to our Good Good Father. Then, as 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 points us toward the “eternal glory” we have in Christ, we respond by singing God You’re So Good and Your Love Defends Me. Sharon Rickerson will give us an update on all that God is doing in our Caring Friends ministry, followed by a presentation of their original theme song, The Gospel Song.

Following our Children’s Church dismissal (all kids 5 years old through 4th grade are invited to attend) Pastor Andrew will continue our Know-Believe-Live series with a message centering on John 7:37-39. We’ll respond together in song, proclaiming our faith and trust in Jesus. And as we conclude our service, we will worship through a time of Giving, have a few brief announcements, a closing prayer from some of our Caring Friends, and a Benediction.

Will you come prepared to worship the Lord this Sunday? Here’s how… You can prayerfully reflect on the Scriptures above. You can familiarize yourself with the songs that we will be singing. You can be praying for all those leading and serving on Sunday: the worship team, audio/visual volunteers, Pastor Andrew, childcare volunteers and teachers, ushers, greeters… and of course, our Caring Friends. Be in prayer for all of us as we gather, that we would join together as brothers and sisters in Christ to bring Him glory in our worship and to be built up as His church! See you on Sunday… Mark
