Preparing for Worship – Apr 10

from Mark Hoffman

“I will deliver you from slavery… and I will redeem you
with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment.”

Exodus 6:6

This week we will observe Good Friday with a continued focus on God’s Message of Hope. We will see the themes of God’s deliverance and redemption found in His promises in Exodus 6 and ultimately fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Our worship this Good Friday is in the form of a self-directed service that can be done by you at home. Be sure to check out the Good Friday resources by clicking here for the video or here for the guide.

Then, for Easter Sunday, we are back to live-streaming to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ! He is risen indeed! We will open in song with Christ the Lord is Risen Today, and then respond to the glorious truth of 1 Peter 1:3 with In Christ Alone. We will have special “virtual” Fellowship Greeting time, where we can take a few minutes to send digital Easter greetings to one another as a church family, followed by a special Kids’ Time.

Then, Pastor Andrew will continue our series on God’s Message of Hope with an Easter message entitled “God’s Hope Proven.“ His texts will be taken from Exodus 6:6-7 and Matt. 28:1-10,16-20. We will again observe Communion in our homes this week, and then respond together in praise of the risen Jesus Christ, who is himself our Living Hope! We will close our time of worship through Giving, prayer, and with a Benediction. If you have a prayer request you’d like to share this week, you may email it to:

This Good Friday and Easter will be unlike any we have experienced before. May the Lord likewise strengthen and establish our faith during this season in ways we never would have imagined.
