He is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords…

To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

1 Timothy 6:15-16

This week we are excited to gather in worship for our “Drive-In” service in the parking lot! We’ll open our lot for vehicles beginning at 9:00am, with the service starting at our usual 9:30am time. You can expect vehicles to be staggered to allow space between as our team of volunteers greets you, guides you to your spot, and distributes printed worship lyrics and individually packaged communion for later in the service. Everyone in our lot will be able to tune in and hear the entire service over FM radio in our cars.

We will open with Scripture, as the verses above from 1 Timothy point us to respond in worship of our Sovereign God in song, with O For A Thousand Tongues and Living Hope. Following a few brief announcements and a special time for our kids, Pastor Andrew will continue our God Is… sermon series with a message entitled “God Is Sovereign.” His text will be taken from Colossians 1:16-17. After the message, we’ll respond by taking Communion together and by singing Holy, Holy, Holy. Concluding our time of worship is a time of prayer, Giving, and a Benediction. If you have a prayer request you’d like to share this week, please email it to: prayer@meadowsfamily.org.

We are all looking forward to gathering for this special “Drive-In” worship service! We are also in the process of finalizing our plan to resume gathering for worship in our sanctuary on Sunday mornings. In addition, we will still continue our live-streaming every single week for those who are uncomfortable or unable to attend. Details on all of these things will be forthcoming. For now, please prepare for worship this week by prayerfully reflecting on the Scripture and songs above. And please continue to pray for our church as we seek to navigate these challenging times in a God-honoring way.

Blessings to you all,

Mark
