Preparing for Worship – May 8

 from Mark Hoffman

And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us. Acts 17:26-27

This week we gather in our homes again to set aside time for the worship of our great God together. He is the Almighty Creator of all that exists, yet He is near to us all and desires fellowship with us! Jim Herold will be leading us in worship this week with How Great Is Our God and King of Glory

Following another special time for our kids this week with Marcia Jarrett, Drew Barnes continues our God Is… sermon series with a message from Acts 17:16-34 entitled “God Is Independent.” Our response of worship will be to sing Indescribable. Lastly, we will close our time together with Giving, prayer, and a Benediction. If you have a prayer request you’d like to share this week, please email it to:

Please continue to be in prayer for our church, our leaders, our community, our state, and our nation. Pray that our times of worship, though we are not together, would glorify our great God and strengthen and encourage his people.

Acts 17 is one of my favorites. Especially v 26 & 27. It was challenging but very cool sharing the story with Britt in simple terms that she could understand, sensing the Holy Spirit leading and teaching us both. ❤️

That’s awesome Sharon… I agree, it’s very cool to see in this passage how Paul engages with the people of Athens. I’m glad you and Britt could engage with the Word together. Thanks and have a great week!!
