 It shall be told of the Lord to the coming generation;

they shall come and proclaim his righteousness

to a people yet unborn, that

he has done it.

Psalm 22:30-31

These are the closing words of Psalm 22, and they express the central theme for our worship this Holy Week. It is the opening words of this Psalm that are on the lips of Jesus as he hangs on the cross, broken, bloodied, and giving his life for the sins of his people. Stewart Pattison opened our He Has Done It sermon series on Palm Sunday by connecting these verses to Christ on the cross. This Good Friday, Mark Barnes will continue with Psalm 22:12-21, allowing these words of Scripture to deepen our understanding of Christ’s suffering and sacrifice. This special time of worship begins at 7:00pm and will include Scripture, reflection, songs, and Communion.

Then on Easter Sunday we celebrate the resurrection! Through songs, Scripture, and prayers we give praise and thanks to our Savior, for truly HE HAS DONE IT! We’re reminded that the church is made up of all generations, so kids are always welcome! We have childcare available throughout the service for ages 3 and under, and a special Kids’ Time and activity bags during the service for all of our young worshipers. Central to our worship is hearing from God through the preaching of the Bible and this Easter is no exception. Pastor Michael Mackens will finish out our Holy Week series by moving into the final triumphant verses of Psalm 22:21b-31. Our Easter worship service begins at 9:30am, but don’t forget to join us earlier at 8:00am for a pancake breakfast followed by a fun Easter egg hunt on the lawn at 8:45am for the kids!

You can prepare for gathered worship by finding a few moments to simply engage with the Scripture and songs for this week. Ask God to use our time together to draw you closer to Him, to build up His church, and to glorify Himself. This week’s song playlist can be found on Spotify and YouTube. Everything you need to know about our Sunday worship services can be found on our website.

See you this Sunday!
